Born in Torino-Italy, but now living and working in Milan. Aimone is highly regarded throughout the Mediterranean region for his nautical-themed oil paintings.
Attracted to ships and the sea from a young age, Sambuy has translated his fascination into visually stunning works of oil on canvas using unique perspectives, shapes, color, and words to recreate interactions with his nautical environment.
In his own words, “Nothing special might happen. You just sit on a bench and watch the world go by, wasting your time. Then you come home and try to put it all back together on a little canvas.”
